She played the lead role in Rodrigue Jean's film Lost Song, a prizewinner at the Toronto International Film Festival. Her original projects include mouvance, a reflection on exile and migration co-created with composer Jérôme Blais. She is a recipient of the Order of Canada, a Knight of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres de France, and holds five honorary doctorates.
