Katherine Dowling, piano
Praised by the New York Times for her "crystalline performances" and by the Boston Globe for her "effortless incisiveness," award-winning pianist Katherine Dowling performs across the Americas and Europe as soloist and chamber musician. A regular presence at Ottawa Chamberfest and Stratford Summer Music, she has made recent recital debuts in Vienna, The Hague, and Rio de Janeiro. She has premiered over one hundred new works. As a member of Gruppo Montebello, she appears on nine recordings on the Etcetera label. Her debut solo album, Awake and Dreaming, was nominated for JUNO "Classical Album of the Year (Solo Artist)."

Clark Schaufele, piano
Alberta-born pianist Clark Schaufele enjoys a multifaceted career spanning genres beyond classical piano. On both keyboards and double bass, he has been involved in performances, tours, and studio recordings ranging from classical to jazz to country and folk. Recent performances have taken him to Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Austria, Germany, Holland, Poland, and across Canada. He has served as Head of Piano and Accompaniment at the Regina Conservatory and taught at the University of Regina and York University. He presently serves as staff pianist at Mount Allison University and holds a Doctorate in Music from the Université de Montréal under pianist Paul Stewart.

Mattia Scarpulla, poet
Mattia Scarpulla is a writer and professor in the Department of French Studies at the Université de Moncton—a little Italian, a little French, and a little Canadian. Their books include Le vol fragile des croyances and Bar Italia 90 (Tête première, 2026 and 2023) and Au nord de ma mémoire (Annika Parance, 2020). Mattia loves curating collective works (Hors de soi, Tête première, 2023, and Arracher les frontières, Hamac, 2025) and facilitating writing workshops.
